HAPPY! =)))
As you all can see from the images above, I went to watch the movie "Bolt", together with Jonathan and Sarah. Before talking about the movie, I shall talk about Jonathan and Sarah. Jonathan was my mirror instructor for Zhong Hwa Secondary Sec3 camp, which was back in January'08. He's back in Singapore for a holiday, cos he is studying in Australia. The last time I saw him was during camp, so 11 months never see him already. In fact, I was really surprised when he smsed me to meet up, cos I thought we had already lost contact. It was really nice to catch up with him, over coffee at Spinelli, followed by dinner at Ajisen and ended with a movie, which burned $32.50 man! =(
Back to the movie, we wanted to catch the 3D version at Tampines Mall, as it is the ONLY GV that has 3D, but sadly, it was SOLD OUT. In the end, we watched the normal version. However, it was really a very good movie, partly due to the HAMSTER character, which is called Rhino. HAHA! Rhino is really SUPER DUPER CUTE man! His voice is really superb, and I really kudos to the guy who dubbed Rhino. I would highly recommend you all to go watch the movie, if you want to have a very good LAUGH. Anyway, I feel like going to watch the 3D version, as I think the 3D version will have a different 'feel' as compared to the normal one.
In the morning, I met Brother YueAnn to go visit the HOPE Kids service, which was held at Holiday Inn Hotel. Anyway, I feel that the venue alone is really cool man, as quoted from my university professor Bob Armstrong, Holiday Inn Hotel is one of the best hotels with the best service in the world. As compared to my own service, the Kids service was very different, and there were elements of FUN and HUMOR, so as to engage the kids. After the service, I had a short chat with the HOPE Kids in-charge HongTeck, discussing which area I can serve in the Kids ministry. I think I should be serving in the games section; whereby I really pray that the kids will give me their support, and able to engage them.
I believe this is a calling from God to serve in the Kids ministry. Saturday going for the Nurture Programme and Sunday going for Kids service, are really 2 meaningful things to do now, as I get to mix around with kids again, just like when I was a camp instructor. Who knows? If I'm really convicted in serving for the Kids, I hope to be able to go for short-term missions to other countries, and specifically help the kids there. It is because I feel that since I have the forte to gel with kids, I should maximize it and put it to good use, and most importantly, IMPACT LIVES.
After the Kids service, I went to join YueAnn at the Adults service, which was another totally new experience. It was more formal, with a little bit of humor here and there. It was a refreshing experience for me, and in fact, I could not even believe myself that I managed to wake up early in the morning to attend the 2 services. Anyway, I'm already looking forward to the next Kids service next Sunday!~
