Singapore Very FIRST Blogger Blood Donation Drive - proudly organized by Nuffnang Singapore
Posted on Sunday, 30 November 2008

Hey! I went for Singapore's very FIRST blogger blood donation drive, proudly organized by Nuffnang Singapore! To recall the last time I donated blood, it was during my JC1 time, which was 6 years ago! HAHA! The auntie who helped me prepare the needles and stuff asked me what I was doing for the past 6 years, and not coming to donate blood, which really made me feel very bad and guilty. Anyway, upon reaching there, Justin and I got a Nuffnang pin badge; whereby I already have one already for the Babylon A.D. movie premiere. (I love pin badges, so I don't mind having more.. Hee!) When we were waiting in the holding room and filling up the required forms, there were other bloggers playing board games, media interviews being carried out and also a buffet spread for everyone. How cool is it to be able to go donate blood and get to eat buffet!~ I also made my 1st blogger friend from Nuffnang, called Joanna. Unfortunately, she did not meet the weight requirement; thus, she did not manage to donate blood. After completing the blood donation, I went to redeem my Certificate for donating in the blood drive, and also a goodie bag. Inside the goodie bag, there was a bottle of Brand's essence of chicken, a special Nuffnang blood donation drive tee. Not forgetting, I drove there; whereby I thought the carpark fee will be very expensive, and thank God! For donors, it's free parking! Cool man! HAHA! Overall, I really enjoyed going for this blood donation drive, and looking forward to 3 months later for the next blood donation. =)))

Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist Movie Premiere
Posted on Friday, 28 November 2008

To all my loved ones out there, the playlist below represents my love for you all!

  1. Unbreakable - Alicia Keys : As the song title goes, the ties I share with my loved ones, especially my family members, are unbreakable and will always be strong and close-knit.
  2. L.O.V.E. - Ashlee Simpson : As you hear the chorus, chanting the word LOVE in a very unique way, accompanied by the RnB tune of the song, it represents the LOVE I have for my loved ones.
  3. One Love - Blue : As the song title goes, there can only be ONE kind of love; whereby for this song, it is specially reserved for the one I love.
  4. Me $ U - Cassie : This RnB song, oozing with a tingle of sexiness, is perfect when I am with my loved one on the dance floor, dancing to the flow of the song.
  5. The Reason - Hoobastank : To all my campers out there who still remember Instructor Potato, you all are the reason why we instructors would not be tired, and carry on with all the planned activities. It's not about the money we earn from doing the camps, but is about impacting the lives of you all, making sure that after the camp, your lives will be transformed in some way or the other.
  6. Amazed - Lincoln  Brewster : Although this is a Christian song, I feel that even non-Christians will be AMAZED by the song. This song is dedicated to God, who is always there for me and loves me with all His might. Whenever I feel down and demoralized, He will always be there for me, lending me a listening ear and encourage me on.
Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist Movie opening 11th Dec!

Dinner+Movie+Speeding
Posted on Thursday, 27 November 2008

Hey people! Thanks to those who still visit my blog and tag before you leave, your presence is deeply appreciated. Anyway, just want to blog about today.

Met up with Justin bro for fellowship at Tampines Mall. We had BUDGET dinner at KOPITIAM foodcourt; whereby I ate my favorite yong tau foo (the one whereby you CANNOT choose the ingredients you want), in a special set with noodles (my personal favorite), a bowl of yong tau foo soup, a plate of kangkong in their special sauce (until now, I do not know what sauce it is), and a plate of fried tou fu. As for Justin, he had fried fish with E noodle soup, whereby the fried fish is pretty tasty and do NOT have the fishy smell. After dinner, we walked around in Tampines Mall and went to Levi's to buy the T-shirt, in support of World Aids Day. Justin was steady enough to share with me, as 2 T-shirts=$39.90. I bought the white one, while Justin bought the blue one. Afterwards, we went to watch the movie "Body of Lies", which starred Leonardo DiCaprio. I recalled the last movie I saw with him is "Catch Me If You Can", so it has been some time since he acted in a movie. It was a pretty good movie, with lots of action, and went to many (lost count) countries to film. Due to the economic situation now, every cent counts. Thus, I feel that spending $7 to watch "Body of Lies" is pretty worth it, as it is a pretty big blockbuster. Therefore, friends out there who have not watched this movie, please do go and watch, although there are some pretty violent scenes. After movie, sent Justin home and while on the way home, I raced with a biker. Actually, not really is race la, but it was a pretty short stretch of say 200m? It was the short flyover that links Tampines to Pasir Ris; whereby after taking a left turn from Tampines, it was a straight stretch all the way.

The race is as follows: After both of us turned right, we were travelling on the extreme right lane. I was tail-gating him, and he gave way after a while. I changed to 2nd gear and sped off. After like say 2 seconds, I think the biker changed gear to 1st/2nd gear, and ZOOMED past me. I could practically hear his exhaust at the left of my car, SUPER LOUD! Upon reaching the top of the flyover, a car filtered out suddenly. He took a quick swerve to the left and overtook the car. Imagine this... The flyover has 3 lanes; I was at the extreme right lane, the biker and the filtering car on the middle lane too. I bet he was travelling at about 110KM/H while swerving to overtake the filtering car. Eventually, both of us got to STOP at the T-junction as it was RED LIGHT. As my windows were down, I showed him the THUMB-UP sign for the speed his bike has, and he smiled back at me. This is really what I call FRIENDLY racing. HAHA! =)))

That's about it... Can't wait for 5th Dec to come, then I will be free from this pretty sucky semester. Ciaoz~

End of Presentations!
Posted on Tuesday, 18 November 2008

Like a finally, ALL my presentations are OVER already! =))) Now can start studying for Public Relations and Critical Thinking FINAL exams le... PR paper is on 2nd Dec, while CT paper is on 5th Dec; thus, still got about 2 weeks to prepare for them. This is already the SECOND LAST semester for me; thus, I shall tell myself to study hard for these 2 papers and score the BESTEST results!

I'm looking forward to the family trip to Cameron Highlands from 8th Dec - 12th Dec, but the trip that I'm SUPER DUPER looking forward to is the family trip to Europe next year in May!~! The Europe trip will be the LONGEST for me, 1 MONTH! Besides going there to sightsee and widen my vision, I also want to visit the HOPE churches there and not forgetting Hillsong London church too, which produces SUPERB praise and worship songs!

I am still pondering over what job to work as next year when I graduate. I seemed to have interest in PR, Advertising, Marcom; but don't know which one fits me more... I believe I just need to send out my resumes and see which industry decides to interview me lor... Besides, who knows how the economy will be next year. I just read the papers just now; whereby Citigroup, the 2nd largest bank in US, is going to cut 52,000 jobs worldwide. Imagine 52,000 people losing their jobs overnight... That's really sad! =((( No matter what happens, I have faith in God and He has a plan for me already. =)))

SIM UOL-SRC City Venture 2008 The IncRATible Race
Posted on Monday, 10 November 2008

My legs are still feeling VERY SORE from the race yesterday. The team, made up of me, ZhenCong, ShiNa, Maurise, and JunYao managed to go against the odds and came in SECOND! At the start of the 2nd day of the race, the 1st day results were revealed and we were placed 3rd. Thus, we were very surprised that we managed to come in 2nd. The prize was $200 cash and 5 silver trophies; whereby each of us got $40 and silver trophy each. It was indeed a VERY TIRING race, as we travelled to MANY places in Singapore, which includes: Thomson Plaza, Bishan Junction 8, Ngee Ann City Takashimaya, The Forum Mall, Holland Village, Tampines Mall, Suntec City, One Fullerton, Jurong East interchange, Yishun interchange, Clementi central, Malay Village, Geylang West CC, Yew Tee MRT, Buona Vista MRT, Commonwealth MRT, Henry Park Primary School, Centrepoint, National Museum of Singapore, Tiong Bahru Plaza. From what I can recall, these are the places that my team went to. We spent about $25 for transportation to these places, imagine that! HAHA! But I really had lots of fun, as the team spirit and team synergy are ever-present and strong; thus, allowing us to complete the race together and achieve 2nd place! =)))

Just finished editing the PR 'C' and 'E' report... I really hate this semester man! So many projects to do... At least, I can count myself lucky as I do not have PR and Advertising together, or else I think I DIED already.. HAHA! Looking forward to CG this Friday, the last CG was like 2 weeks ago man! Besides that, I'm also looking forward to this coming weekend, taking part in SIM UOL-SRC Amazing Race competition, together with Yao, Cong, Mau, and ShiNa. Really hope we can come in Top 3 man!

Anyway, I think I'm really a glutton for the past week since my RT ended. Never exercise. Sleep late. Eat late night supper. HAIZ! Sure gain a lot of weight man!!! Must try to motivate myself to work out already.. Anyone who wants to go work out, PLEASE ask me along too, cos I'm someone who severely lacks self-motivation.
