God is GREAT and AWESOME! i really have to thank God for the 5 good things that happened today=)

  1. For those who are my regular readers of my blog, you all know that i'm supposed to have an interview last Friday, but it was cancelled cos the boss was not free to meet me. in the end, i kinda gave up hope and did not want to call the company again to arrange an interview. however, through God's grace, the company called me today and asked me to go down for interview this Friday! i really hope i can get the job, so my August holidays will not be doing nothing. =)
  2. I sent out my resume to Cheers Events Asia, asking for part-time jobs. the boss offered to put me in for her events in August, and also assist her in the planning and executing of the events. in addition, she will also allow me to understudy her emcees and one day, emcee the event myself! anyway, she said i could co-host an event with the boss on National Day, as a form of understudy. i would not be paid, but i really don't mind the exposure and experience! =)
  3. I sent out my resume to Fiona's Models, Talents and Events Management, also asking for part-time jobs. the boss understands that i would like to learn emceeing; thus, she offered to allow me to tag along her for events, so as to learn the ropes of emceeing. in addition, she also will contact me if she needs part-time events assistants. =)
  4. In addition, i also got another interview to go to next Wednesday. it's for the post of marketing communications executive. it is a pretty highly sought after job, and need to go through a few rounds of interviews. initially, i thought the interview 'fly' away le, then i was told it 'flew' back again! haha! =)
  5. Leon asked me whether i want to do emcee for one of the mobile phone booths in Comex. the pay is pretty good, so just need to wait for his confirmation. hope i can get the job, as it will be a very good exposure and experience for me too! =)
Tell me how it feels to hear 5 good news in a day! simply AMAZING la! haha! anyway, i will pray hard that all will go well, through God's grace! as the saying goes: when God closes a door, He will open another window for you. i beg to differ and came out with my OWN: when God closes a door, He opens many windows for you.

Thank you God, you are truly amazing! =)))

  1. Hancock
  2. Strangers
  3. Hellboy 2
  4. Red Cliff
  5. 21
  6. Dark Knight
  7. X-Files
  8. Prom Night
The abovementioned are the movies that i caught in the month of July. unbelievable right? 8 movies in a month! haha! i think before July comes to an end, i should be catching Money No Enough 2 and Mummy 3, which will make it 10 movies a month. anyway, if you guys are wondering why i'm so rich to watch so many movies in a month, is because i ONLY go to Cathay cinemas, as they offer $6/ticket for Mon-Fri and $8/ticket for Sat and Sun => special price for UOB cardmembers =)

Anyway, i'm volunteering to be usher this coming Wed for Alpha, and also looking forward to this Fri's unit CG, called "The Happy Hours". sounds like FUN to me! and i'm in charge of games! =)

Final exam for COM249 is next Mon... =(

Today went to watch "Prom Night"... i would only rate it 1.5/5 stars la! cos it's not even scary and they never really show the killing scenes, which is kinda wasted. to think about it... for the movies that are showing now, i practically watched ALL except for P2 and Wedding Daze. i think i will reserve my $ for next week's Mummy 3 and Money No Enough 2. i bet both will be a box office hit! haha! =)

CG was good today; whereby we spent almost 2 hours to find a suitable spot for CG. haha! in the end, we ended up at the finishing point of ActsCalibre Around the World in ***** Minutes game. it was really a nice and cooling place to have CG, and it was really nice having fellowship with my CG people and sharing our lives.

Matthew 6:33
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Probably God planned for me to stop doing camps now, cos He has something planned for me. initially, i really felt very sad and felt a very strong sense of loss. thinking back... i've been doing camps for the past 2.5 years, and because of 1 stupid mistake, all my 2.5 years experience has gone down the drain and i can no longer do camps anymore. probably like what Bro JunYao said, maybe it's time for me to take a break from camps and start thinking of how to serve God now. to me, i firmly believe that everything happens for a reason; thus, taking a break from camps may allow me to do other things, be it for God or for myself. i'm not trying to act holy here, but after being a believer of Christ for almost 6 months, i do not deny the fact that God has always been there for me, and also answering my prayers. therefore, whatever He has planned for me, i'm ready to accept it. =)

Tomorrow is AHSCDS annual dinner, super looking forward to it! =)))

above is the certificate given to my Fairfield Methodist class 2H for clinching the Best Group Award during their Sec 2 level camp. i'm so damn proud of them! a class with 30+ people, is kinda hard to make everyone bond together as ONE; thus, the ONLY possible time is during camp, whereby one likes it or not, he or she has to come for camp. although the camp was 2 months ago, i really hope 2H will stay as bonded as ever! even if there is minor disputes or quarrels, also sit down calmly and trash things out. what's the point of ignoring people or bad-mouth people, you do not stand to gain anything.
remember!
do not do things without thinking properly and regret later.
yesterday night met up with Desmond bro for movie and supper. we caught X Files at Cathay Downtown East, which is SUPER NEAR our houses. haha! i would not say the movie was fantastic, but ok only. 3/5 stars. after that, went to our Lao Di Fang for supper. it was really a nice catch-up session bro, and congrats again for attaining the scholarship! =)

having CG later at 6pm at St Andrew's Cathedral... sounds like a really cool and nice place for fellowship! anyway, i'm super looking forward to AHSCDS Alumni Dinner tomorrow! cos we are going to discuss on the FULL alumni production next year, and i want to have a part in it! =)))

Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

today had a good sharing session with Bro JunYao, and he told me that he's very stretched. i told him i dun mind helping him, as long as he shows me the ropes. just like how i do it in camp, instructor to instructor. i also hope that through his guidance, i can grow in Christ. to JunYao: i really do not mind you guiding/'commanding' me, cos i'm really a greenhorn when it comes to Christ. i do appreciate your prayer smses, and especially those that tell me what to read and to pray on. if the job interview never work out, then i will apply for full-time job with JunYao Pte Ltd ok? haha! =)

anyway, just received a call from the company whereby i'm going for interview tomorrow. she told me that the boss is not free to meet me tomorrow, so i got to wait till next week then can go for interview. i do not know whether this is a bad sign/omen, but i really sincerely hope and pray hard that i will get the job. BUT, if i do not get this job, then i will just slack around or probably work at Starbucks, although their pay is only $4.50/hr! in this way, i can drink my favorite coffee (caramel machiato) EVERYDAY! haha! =)

i really enjoy my life now... Saturday going for service, Sunday at home or out with family, weekdays at school and catching up with old friends... in fact, i can't wait to start work asap, cos i'm kinda sian when it comes to studying... haha! my final exam for this semester is on Aug 4, whereby after the paper, it will HOLIDAYS for me again! haha! anyone got good part-time lobang, must intro me k? thanks!

P.S. meeting desmond bro for movie "X Files" at Cathay Downtown East later at 9.35pm=)

They say when God closes a door, He will open another window. I do not know how true is this saying, but judging from what things are unfolding, the saying seems to be true. I really pray hard for this Friday's interview to work out well, then I need not worry about being jobless. In addition, I hope the SPH Search can work out an internship for me, but I will only get a confirmation from them in about 2 weeks time. Therefore, all my hopes are pinned on this coming Friday, and like I always say: I will do my best, while God will do the rest! =)

Dear Lord, please bless me with the confidence and luck I need for this coming Friday's interview. In addition, you know how much I want this job; thus, I'm confident that you will be there to make it happen. In Jesus's most precious name I pray, amen!
